I’f you ask any photographer what their biggest challenges are, I bet you most would say locations! It can be so difficult to find a location that is beautiful, accessible, and above all, not crowded. There are several private properties that I enjoy shooting on. These locations are always free of other photographers. Being selective and getting the best shots in the best locations with the best light is a MUST for my clients.
Why is this important?
I’m so excited to be able to offer a new location in 2023. My old locations are still available and I plan to still use them often. I love being able to offer additional looks and variety. All of my locations are within a 30 minute drive from the Peoria area, so you don’t have to worry about a long trek for family photos. It’s so important to make family pictures not only fun, but easy!
Where is it?
Well, that is actually top secret, haha. I am very protective of my locations because I like to keep them all to myself. I also pay to have the privilege of using these beautiful natural areas. As always, if any of my clients have private property that they’d allow me to shoot on, please let me know! I’d be happy to exchange photos for use of your land for the season.
Why does location matter?
A beautiful location sets the scene for magical images. Matching the location to your wardrobe and general vibe of your session is so much fun and will result in gorgeous photos. I always like to photograph small children in an area where they can run and play. This captures their genuine expressions. Also, it’s always a plus to end a session with tired kiddos. 🙂 I can always tell when we will get those incredible, cuddling shots towards the end of our session.
