In January, Peoria was absolutely pelted with an ice storm, and then it snowed on top of that. While it can be a giant pain in the butt to drive in, it was PERFECT to shoot in. The way the snow clung to the branches created such a beautiful, iced over winter wonderland. While living in central Illinois may not give us mild winters, we get lucky some years to have all of this beauty for photo sessions. But now that it’s nearly March, I’m ready for warm summers and sun soaked family sessions. 🙂 They will be here soon enough, but for now, I’m trying to embrace being warm and cozy inside during these chilly Illinois winters.
