Every year, I host Christmas Mini sessions in the studio. This year, it was in my brand new studio, which was so fun! Was I scrambling to get everything ready to host all of those families? Yes… Was it well worth it? Also yes! I had such a blast reconnecting with past and current families and new ones as well. These fifteen minute sessions are the perfect way to get a few images of the kids if you’re unsure of how they will do for pictures. Each session is fifteen minutes long, costs $150, and includes five digital images. Parents of toddlers love to put the feelers out to see how their children do at these Christmas Mini sessions, so they can decide if they’d like to book a longer family session at a later date.
What to Wear
Most families like to put the kids in jammies. Here are some of my favorites, but I also really like these. I always try to give a preview of what my Christmas set will look like, so clients can match to that color scheme if they’d like. You certainly don’t have to though, and some clients don’t even wear Christmas jammies. I’d had some wear dressier clothes, which still works beautifully. There are plenty of Christmas elements in my Christmas Mini sessions that you can have a large variety to your images.
Quick and Easy
Families receive their proofing galleries the same night or next day. Once selections are made, I work on those images immediately, and get the images back within 24 hours. I know that so many of my families like to have their images ready to go for Christmas cards, so a fast turnaround time is really important to me. I know what it’s like to be scrambling before the holidays, so having everything ready to go makes life easy for myself and my clients.
